Hi Mom

"Hi Mom" is my first memoir mini comic. I did it in 24hrs. It is, for a majority, wordless, and crudely drawn.  It briefly tells the story of my rocky relationship with my mom, our ups and downs, all the way to present day. 

Growing up I saw lots of cartoons, TV shows and movies about mothers and daughters who were best friends ('Gilmore Girls' especially), and I knew that would never be my reality. 

I love my mom, but our relationship will always be complicated.

My hope in sharing this deeply raw and personal comic is that those with similar strained relationships with parental figures will not feel so alone.
